Serving on Board

¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ employees have served on the BBBSSA board to help guide its mission. Dave Couture, Manager of Customer Experience and Advocacy, has served on the board since late 2019.

The BBBSSA helps ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ spread the word about scammers who impersonate our customer service representatives over the phone, threatening to shut off power if customers don’t pay immediately. To educate businesses about these practices, the BBB website includes the to report and search scams in the United States and Canada.

The local chapter is active in publicizing such cases. See ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ’s scams tip webpage for more information.

“They are very active in alerting customers to scams and if they have any businesses that are operating unethically, they make sure those activities stop,†Couture said.

¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ’s support for the BBBSSA is an extension of its commitment to ethical business practices, Couture said.

“As one of the larger accredited organizations in Tucson, we’re proud of our partnership with BBB, which for decades has been synonymous with trust in the marketplace and sets the bar for what our community wants to see in their local businesses.â€
