Culture of Volunteerism

Volunteer service forms the heart of our corporate culture at ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ. The passion for volunteerism starts with our leadership and is shared by many of our 1,500 employees, who play a direct role in strengthening the community.

About one-third of our employees actively volunteer on their own or through ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ’s employee-led Community Action Team (CAT). Their efforts ensure that food pantries are stocked and that children have clothing, school supplies and basic health care. Our volunteers also raise money to fight disease and help individuals facing hardships to rebuild their lives.

Our CAT volunteers participate in about 100 plus community events, drives or causes each year. Since our CAT program began in 1993, ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ employees and the friends and family members who join them at CAT events have contributed more than a half-million hours of volunteer service to our community!

In addition to organizing and funding volunteer activities, ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ also offers donations to support employees who volunteer for organizations such as 4H, sports teams, music and special interest clubs or camps.

Request Volunteers

¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ provides employee volunteers to support nonprofit events when a ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ employee serves as a liaison with your organization and as ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ’s volunteer coordinator. Please submit your request a minimum of 90 days before the event so that we have adequate time to secure and coordinate volunteers. Request Board Members

Nonprofit organizations may request that a ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ employee serve on their governing board, provided certain requirements are met. We want to ensure a positive experience for both the ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ employee and your organization. You must be able to meet all of these requirements as well as provide Directors and Officers Insurance. ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ employee board service does not ensure a financial contribution from ¶¶ÄÌÊÓƵ.
